Hilmy Cellars is an artisan Fredericksburg winery. Offering a variety of wines, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling wines, these are produced as single-varietals with some blends. Sourcing fruit from a range of growers and the estate vineyards, they have emphasized warm and hot climate varietals in their lineup as blends and single varietals. Micheal’s grandfather was a NASA flight physician, and the instinct to diagnose and apply the right touch to each of his wines comes naturally to his winemaking. Consulting upstart wine projects is a part of his work as a cellar master. He recently became a father and is building a home and planting a small personal vineyard in the Hill Country.
